Questa è la nostra versione creata per la “Mascotte contest della Tora Edizioni”. La loro mascotte si chiama Len e alla fine tra varie proposte davvero molto belle la nostra è risultata la vincitrice. Siamo state felici del risultato e che lo staff della Tora ed. abbia apprezzato il nostro lavoro.

This is our version created for the “Tora Edizioni Mascot Contest”. Their mascot is called Len and in the end, among various very beautiful proposals, ours was the winner.We were happy with the result and that the staff of the Tora Ed. appreciated our work.

Ciao, conoscete il gioco del telefono senza fili? Il Telephone Game creato dagli artisti di Nuname ha le stesse basi. Il tema che ci siamo dati era “creature della foresta” e a turno un artista creava la sua versione poi lo passava ad un altro artista, che ne cambiava pochi dettagli, cosi fino alla fine. Il risultato sono delle illustrazioni unite da un filo conduttore ma ognuna è diversa dall’altra e unica nella sua bellezza. Quella che vedete in questo post è la nostra versione, che abbiamo realizzato con Clip Studio Paint EX, e il risultato ci piace molto.^^
Lo abbiamo trovato molto stimolante, nel cimentarci a dare il meglio di noi, inoltre ci siamo divertite con il gruppo. Per rivederli tutti insieme potete visitare il profilo instagram di Nupress, oppure c’è un video sul canale YouTube, montato proprio da noi.

Hi, do you know the wireless phone game? Maybe in english it is known as Chinese whisper or telephone. The Telephone Game created by the Nuname artists has the same basis. The theme we gave ourselves was “creature of the forest” and in turn an artist created an own version and then passed it on to another artist, who changed a few details, until the end. The result are illustrations joined by a common thread but each one is different from the other and unique in its beauty. What you seein this post is our version, we made with Clip Studio Paint EX, and we really like the result. ^^

Per San Valentino torniamo con una illustrazione ispirata all’opera dell’artista Klimt (Der Kuss) ma su stile più orientale, per i nostri OC. ✨ Abbiamo finalmente scelto un nome per questi nuovi OC a cui abbiamo dedicato già 3 illustrazioni: l’uomo si chiama Sanrei mentre la donna invece è Shirotsuki. E’ bello tornare ad usare gli acquarelli e per ricreare la doratura abbiamo usato gli acrilici, l’effetto finale ci piace molto. ………………….
For Valentine’s Day we return with an illustration inspired by the work of the artist Klimt (Der Kuss) but on a more oriental style, for our OCs. ✨ We have finally chosen a name for these new OCs to which we have already dedicated 3 illustrations: the man is called Sanrei while the woman is Shirotsuki. It’s nice to go back to using watercolors and to recreate the gilding we used acrylics, we really like the final effect.

『SAMY・CONSU』 ⚠️No repost without credits or permission
July 7 was the anniversary of a well-known holiday in Japan, which has its origins in the Chinese tradition. The name is Tanabata Matsuri (七夕祭り), where in japanese language Tanabata/七夕 means “seventh night” while Matsuri/祭り is for “festival”, but it is also well known as the Star Festival (星祭り/Hoshi matsuri).
The Tanabata is the legend of a couple, the princess Oriime and Hikoboshi (representing the stars Vega and Altair). The two lovers were separated from the Milky Way and they could only meet once a year, the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar. On this holiday people admire the sky to see these two stars, hoping that the weather will be clear so that the two lovers can meet. They also tie colored leaves to bamboo plants, enclosing their own desire.
In the role of legend lovers we decided to represent two of our recent OCs, because we thought they lent themselves well to this representation. For this work we went back to using traditional techniques, combining watercolor and acrylic, plus the details with a glitter gel pen. This is not the first tribute we create thinking about this legend, a few years ago we had also created a short 2D animation with the stop-motion technique. il 7 Luglio è stata la ricorrenza di una festività olto nota in Giappone, che ha le sue origini nella tradizione cinese. Il nome è Tanabata Matsuri (七夕祭り), dove in giappoese Tanabata/七夕 significa “settima notte” mentre Matsuri/祭り è per “festival”, ma è anche conosciuta come Festival delle Stelle (星祭り/Hoshi matsuri).
La Tanabata è la leggenda di una coppia, la principessa Oriime e Hikoboshi (che rappresentano le stelle Vega e Altair). I due amanti erano separati dalla Via Lattea e potevano incontrarsi solo una volta all’anno, il settimo giorno del settimo mese lunare del calendario lunisolare. In questa festività le persone ammirano il cielo per vedere queste due stelle, sperando che il tempo sia sereno così che i due amanti si possano incontrare. Inoltre legano a delle piante di bamboo dei fogliettini colorati racchiudendovi un proprio desiderio.
Nel ruolo degli amanti della leggenda abbiamo deciso di rappresentare due dei nostri OCs recenti, perché abbiamo pensato si prestassero bene a questa rappresentazione. Per questo lavoro siamo tornate ad usare le tecniche tradizionali, unendo acquerello e acrilico, più le rifiniture con una penna gel glitter. Questo non è il primo omaggio che creiamo pensando a questa leggenda, qualche anno fa avevamo creato anche una breve animazione 2D con la tecnica dello stop-motion. A new illustration. We worked hard on it and we are happy to present it here. Everything started from Yoshiwara’s research, which was a famous yūkaku (red-light district) in Edo, present-day Tōkyō, Japan. The Oiran were the most famous and beautiful courtesans in the district.
We are very satisfied with the final result, especially for the details of the clothes and the light. We like these characters so much that perhaps we will keep them aside to develop a story in which to insert them.

🌸𝑶𝑰𝑹𝑨𝑵. Il bel fiore del distretto di Yoshiwara 🌸
Una nuova illustrazione. Ci abbiamo lavorato molto siamo felice di presentarla qui. Tutto è iniziato dalla ricerca di Yoshiwara, il quale era un famoso yūkaku (quartiere a luci rosse) a Edo, l’attuale Tōkyō, in Giappone. Le Oiran erano le cortigiane più famose e belle del quartiere.
Siamo molto soddisfatti del risultato finale, soprattutto per i dettagli degli abiti e della luce. Ci piacciono così tanto questi personaggi che forse li terremo da parte per sviluppare una storia in cui inserirli.

Hello everyone! We inform you that in our portfolio, in the illustrations section, we have uploaded two new original works made in digital with the help of the JUMP PAINT program, provided by the Art Street site (formerly called Madibang).
We are happy that these two works have received a fair appreciation on social media, demonstrating that our digital practice has improved and is liked.

We have come to publish a new personal and original design that represents another part of us. “Melancholy Charm” is the third one that we actually publish on this genre focused on inner themes and that we entrust its exposure again to china and a sheet of paper that we like very much for its yield. Each design is also accompanied by a brief concept of what we want to express and from which you can understand the choice of representation used.

Abbiamo pubblicato un nuovo lavoro personale e originale che rappresenta un’altra parte di noi. “Melancholy Charm” è il terzo che pubblichiamo su questo genere incentrato su temi interiori e che affidiamo nuovamente la sua esposizione all’inchiostro e ad un foglio di carta che ci piace molto per la sua resa. Ogni disegno è inoltre accompagnato da un breve concetto di ciò che vogliamo esprimere e dal quale è possibile comprendere la scelta della sua rappresentazione.
♦ Cosa ne pensate? Può essere interessante per voi seguire questo lavoro?
Crediamo che questi disegni li uniremo in una serie che espanderemo gradualmente seguendo gli stimoli e l’ispirazione che verranno da dentro di noi.
Come molti avranno saputo, in Giappone dal 1° Maggio è stata dichiarato l’inizio di una nuova era, denominata Reiwa (令和), ideogrammi che stanno a significare 令=ordine e 和=armonia.
Questo è venuto in concomitanza dell’ ascesa al trono del Crisantemo del nuovo Imperatore Naruhito, figlio dell’Imperatore Emerito Akihito, dimessosi dal suo incarico per motivi di salute.
Questo passaggio è vissuto come un evento importante nella storia del Giappone, appunto perchè con il passaggio di un imperatore inizia una nuova era, che loro seguono come un calendario.
È la prima volta che assistiamo a queste cerimonie. Siamo nate durante l’ultimo anno dell’ Era Showa, e siamo cresciute guardando il Giappone solo nella sua Era Heisei e ora abbiamo visto questo passaggio alla nuova Era Reiwa, e dobbiamo dire che è stato emozionante assistere a questa cerimonia e vedere i festeggiamenti riservati dal popolo giapponese.
Unendoci a questi festeggiamenti, come un augurio di buon auspicio, sperando che per tutti possa essere l’inizio di una nuova e prosperosa era, abbiamo realizzato questa illustrazione, come biglietto augurale.

As many will have known, in Japan from May 1st was declared the beginning of a new era, called Reiwa (令 和), ideograms that mean 令 = order and 和 = harmony.
This came in conjunction with the ascent to the throne of the Chrysanthemum of the new Emperor Naruhito, son of Emperor Emeritus Akihito, who resigned from his post for health reasons.
This passage is experienced as an important event in the history of Japan, precisely because with the passage of an emperor a new era begins, which they follow as a calendar.
It is the first time we witness these ceremonies. We were born during the last year of the Showa Era, and we grew up looking at Japan only in its Heisei Era and now we have seen this transition to the new Reiwa era, and we must say that it was exciting to watch this ceremony and see the festivities reserved from the Japanese people.
Joining these celebrations, as a wish of good omen, hoping that for everyone it could be the beginning of a new and prosperous era, we have created this illustration, as a greeting card.
