1 Hour Drawing Challenge

Partiamo con le buone notizie che ultimamente ci sta dando il sito ART street di MediBang .
Per chi non lo conosce si tratta di una comunity per appassionati di illustrazione e manga, dove periodicamente vengono organizzati vari tipi di contest con in palio grandi e piccoli premi.
Ogni venerdi c’è la sfida 『1 ora di disegno』 dove viene dato un tema poco prima dell’inizio e si ha un ora di tempo per postarlo.
🔸11 Marzo il tema era il “PANDA” e il nostro disegno è risultato vincitore, facendoci anche guadagnare un premio di 5000 ¥ (quasi 37€)

Let’s start with the good news that MediBang’s ART street site has been giving us lately.
For those unfamiliar with it, it is a community for illustration and manga enthusiasts, where various types of contests are periodically organized with large and small prizes up for grabs.
Every Friday there is the 『1 hour drawing』 challenge where a theme is given just before the start and you have an hour to post it.
🔸March 11th the theme was “PANDA” and our drawing was the winner, also earning us a prize of 5000 ¥ (almost 37 €)

Vincitrici al Contest “disegna BELLE”

Il 17 marzo al cinema è uscito il film di animazione “BELLE – il drago e la principessa con le lentigini” (竜とそばかすの姫 Ryu to Sobakasu no Hime) scritto e diretto da Mamoru Hosoda.
Abbiamo apprezzato anche altri film di Hosoda-sensei e naturalmente non potevamo perderci questo film, che tratta in maniera alternativa e moderna una delle nostre fiabe preferite, “La Bella e la Bestia”.
Per l’uscita del film inoltre Anime Factory, in collaborazione con NippoNotes e Anime Click, ha organizzato un contest dal titolo “Disegna Belle” con in palio 10 copie numerate e disegnate da Mamoru Hosada.
Noi abbiamo partecipando pubblicando sui social, sotto la tag #LaMiaBelle , la nostra illustrazione che alla fine è stata selezionata tra i dieci vincitori. Presto riceveremo l’opera autografata ed inoltre abbiamo saputo che i disegni vincitori saranno inseriti negli extra dell’uscita Home Video, quindi aspettiamo con ansia di poterlo comprare.
Sotto vi lasciamo vedere il nostro disegno, realizzato per l’occasione in maniera tradizionale (Acquerello, acrilico e glitter pen) in più il video di Mamoru Hosoda che disegna Belle.

On March 17 th the animated film “BELLE – the dragon and the princess with freckles” (竜 と そ ば か す の 姫 Ryu to Sobakasu no Hime) was released, written and directed by Mamoru Hosoda.
We also enjoyed other Hosoda-sensei films and of course we couldn’t miss this film, which deals in an alternative and modern way one of our favorite fairy tales, “Beauty and the Beast”.
In addition, for the release of the film Anime Factory, in collaboration with NippoNotes and Anime Click, organized a contest entitled “Disegna Belle” with 10 numbered copies designed by Mamoru Hosada to be won.
We have participated by publishing on social networks, under the #LaMiaBelle tag, our illustration that was ultimately selected among the ten winners. We will soon receive the autographed work and also we have learned that the winning designs will be included in the extras of the Home Video release, so we look forward to being able to buy it.
Below we let you see our drawing, made for the occasion in a traditional way (Watercolor, acrylic and glitter pen) plus the video by Mamoru Hosoda who draws Belle.

Intervista su ISOLA per Nina Panini

Ciao, volevamo condividere con voi un’esperienza avuta l’anno scorso.
Nina Panini, Graphic Designer e Visual Art Teacher, ci aveva contattato per una intervista per la sua associazione ISOLA (con base a San Pietroburgo- Russia), un’accogliente isola creativa per gli amanti dell’arte e delle lingue straniere.
E’ stata una nostra amica russa, Olga, a presentarci Nina e siamo state molto lusingate trattandosi della nostra prima intervista.
L’emozione si può anche sentire nel video in allegato, come si nota era in inglese e l’agitazione è stata doppia.

Hi, we wanted to share with you an experience we had last year.
Nina Panini, Graphic Designer and Visual Art Teacher, had contacted us for an interview for her association ISOLA (based in St. Petersburg – Russia), a cozy creative island for lovers of art and foreign languages.
It was a Russian friend of ours, Olga, who introduced us to Nina and we were very flattered by giving away our first interview.
The emotion can also be felt in the attached video, as you can see it was in English and the agitation was double.

RESULTS: 5th JUMP’s Universal Illustration Contest – Theme: ONE PIECE

Il nostro lavoro “The pirate king’s wings” è stato selezionato tra i vincitori della categoria “Selected winners“!

Per celebrare l’uscita del volume 100, a ottobre si è tenuto il 5th JUMP’s Universal Illustration Contest Theme: ONE PIECE attraverso il sito di ARTstreet/Medibang e proprio il mangaka Eiichiro Oda, insieme al JUMP Editorial Department , sono stati i giudici del concorso.
Come fans di ONE PIECE non ci siamo fatte scappare l’occasione per mostrare i nostri lavori all’autore e abbiamo proposto 4 fanart che nel tempo abbiamo realizzato.
Il concorso ha richiamato un gran numero di fans (quasi più di 2000 lavori), tra i quali molti meritevoli, e ammettiamo che non era facile riuscire a spuntarla ma sapere che uno dei nostri autori preferiti possa vedere i nostri lavori ci rendeva felici.
Ieri comunque è arrivata la bella notizia della nostra vittoria, insieme con altri 4 artisti, per il secondo premio. Un risultato che non ci aspettavamo proprio e adesso non vediamo l’ora di ricevere il premio.

Our work “The pirate king’s wings” has been selected among the winners of the “Selected winners” category!

To celebrate the release of volume 100, the 5th JUMP’s Universal Illustration Contest Theme: ONE PIECE was held in October through the ARTstreet / Medibang website and mangaka Eiichiro Oda, together with the JUMP Editorial Department, were the judges of the competition. .
As fans of ONE PIECE we did not miss the opportunity to show our works to the author and we proposed 4 fanarts that we have created over time.
The competition attracted a large number of fans (almost more than 2000 works), among which many deserving ones, and we admit that it was not easy to get it right but knowing that one of our favorite authors could see our works made us happy.
Yesterday, however, the good news arrived of our victory, together with 4 other artists, for the second prize. A result that we didn’t really expect and now we can’t wait to receive the award.

“FEAST POLAROID CONTEST”

Le nostre polaroid entry per “FEAST POLAROID CONTEST” organizzato da @OPFoodZine a tema di ONE PIECE e il cibo.
Abbiamo realizzato tre momenti di festa:
🔸1- Rappresenta lo spirito del capitano che adora divertirsi e mangiare, un bel modo di festeggiare la sua ciurma riunita
🔸2- a Punk Hazart fa freddo e dopo la battaglia la festa di vittoria è di rito. Abbiamo immaginato Zoro e Sanji che si divertono a modo loro
🔸3- qui abbiamo pensato alla pausa nella foresta di Wano mangiando qualche dolce per caricarsi per la battaglia che li attende. Qualcuno è già infuocato.

Si è capito ormai che ci piace fare fanart di One Piece!

We have created three moments of celebration:
🔸1- Represents the spirit of the captain who loves to have fun and eat, a nice way to celebrate his reunited crew
🔸2- in Punk Hazart it is cold and after the battle the victory party is a ritual. We imagined Zoro and Sanji having fun in their own way
🔸3- here we thought of the break in the forest of Wano by eating some sweets to charge up for the battle that awaits them. Someone is already on fire.

It is understood by now that we like to do One Piece fanart!

Tora’s Mascot contest: Victory!

Questa è la nostra versione creata per la “Mascotte contest della Tora Edizioni”.
La loro mascotte si chiama Len e alla fine tra varie proposte davvero molto belle la nostra è risultata la vincitrice. Siamo state felici del risultato e che lo staff della Tora ed. abbia apprezzato il nostro lavoro.

La Tora ci ha fatto dono di questi gadget con sopra la nostra mascotte proposta, un bellissimo poster e due belle t-shirt.
Comunque chiunque può ottenere dei gadget davvero belli con il nostro disegno.

This is our version created for the “Tora Edizioni Mascot Contest”.
Their mascot is called Len and in the end, among various very beautiful proposals, ours was the winner.We were happy with the result and that the staff of the Tora Ed. appreciated our work.

Telephone Game by Nuname

Ciao, conoscete il gioco del telefono senza fili?
Il Telephone Game creato dagli artisti di Nuname ha le stesse basi.
Il tema che ci siamo dati era “creature della foresta” e a turno un artista creava la sua versione poi lo passava ad un altro artista, che ne cambiava pochi dettagli, cosi fino alla fine.
Il risultato sono delle illustrazioni unite da un filo conduttore ma ognuna è diversa dall’altra e unica nella sua bellezza. Quella che vedete in questo post è la nostra versione, che abbiamo realizzato con Clip Studio Paint EX, e il risultato ci piace molto.^^

Lo abbiamo trovato molto stimolante, nel cimentarci a dare il meglio di noi, inoltre ci siamo divertite con il gruppo.

Hi, do you know the wireless phone game? Maybe in english it is known as Chinese whisper or telephone.
The Telephone Game created by the Nuname artists has the same basis.
The theme we gave ourselves was “creature of the forest” and in turn an artist created an own version and then passed it on to another artist, who changed a few details, until the end.
The result are illustrations joined by a common thread but each one is different from the other and unique in its beauty. What you seein this post is our version, we made with Clip Studio Paint EX, and we really like the result. ^^

We found it very stimulating, in trying to give the best of us, also we had fun with the group.
